SecureUs gives you the ability to request physical protection services from licensed security professionals right from your smartphone With services that ranges from a simple pick up and drop off to a companion who will accompany you through out the time of you service, and even patrol an area set by the user, whether it be the area around their home or for small businesses.

Scope of Work

Test the existing app gain insights on usability and identify the pain points users struggle with while using the app and to make evidence driven design changes to better the usability for the users.

"How might we enable safety conscious users to hire qualified and affordable security easily and quickly whenever they need."

 Research

We conducted 10 user interviews to gather insights on people’s thoughts and feelings regarding safety and their perception of personal security. We also wanted to understand users pain points/delightfulness with the current mobile application for SecureUs.

5/10 users stated that they would use personal security when traveling outside of the USA.

7/10 user stated they would need personal security for specific reasons.

8/10 users stated that they worry more about the safety of others (family, friends, etc) than for themselves.

“I want to easily set my service information”

By modernizing the screen to set "Location of Service" and the "Time of Service," we were able to simplify the process for the users allowing them to quickly and efficiently input their information.

 
 

"I want to be able to choose my service professional."

By give the users the flexibility to choose their service professional, we were able to give the users comfort and peace of mind when using the app. We were also able to implement a rating system where the user can make their selection based on rating/reading past reviews.

 
 
 
 

“I don’t want to use my personal number to get in contact with my professional”

By implementing a message feature in the app, we were able to allow users to contact their service professional directly within the app. This proved to be useful for users as they would not have to use their personal phone number.

 
 

“I want to see a breakdown of the estimated price for my requested service”

By showing a full breakdown of how the estimated price was calculated with clear explanations of how their estimated total came to be, it limits the amount of confusion the user may endure.
